How To Clean Headphone Foam Pads
Some headphone pad materials such as memory foam are very porous and tend to absorb a lot of sweat and oils during normal usage.
How to clean headphone foam pads. Cut it to the right dimensions. Sew it onto your foam. Replace protein leather coating.
To cleanse the leather headphone pads take a piece of clean cloth and use the conditioner a bit and apply directly over the headphone pads. Clean your headphone pads with soapy water once a week. Wipe dry with some paper towels and leave to air dry completely.
Remove the ear pads and wipe the exterior of the headphones down with a small cloth dampened with some soap and warm water. I do so too it works reasonably well. CLEANING THE EAR PADS.
If the outer coating starts to peel but the foam still has its integrity just replace the coating. Place one circle over one headphone ear pad and slip the elastic doubled or tripled over if necessary around it to hold it in place. Once the earpads have been separated from the headphones clean the speaker using a cloth or a small brush to remove any dirt or dust left behind.
CLEANING THE HEADPHONE EXTERIOR BODY. As a rough guideline do this cleaning after every 7 or so uses. I believe the older razer headphones just use some foam padding but the new ones use gel infused memory foam which I would advise against putting in the wash.
