Lay the bag flat on your countertop. I highly recommend an open star piping tip but I actually use Ateco 849 which is a closed star tip. Use the smallest round tip you feel comfortable with.
Using any round decorating tip simply squeeze the bag to form a dot. If youre using a tip with no coupler I use this method when Im using a larger tip for frosting cupcakes just push the tip into the bag and trim the piping bag so that about half of the tip sticks out. It will speed up the dry time prevent caters from forming and leave the icing with a smooth and shiny surface.
All items are for US domestic shipping only. Use a 1 or 2 tip for this or a pastry bag with just the very tip snipped off. I believe the long ones are for injecting jelly or whipped cream into cream puffs doughnuts etc.
Then you can decorate cookies cupcakes or cakes. Be sure to take a look at my entire online store for cookie cutters. Use a small round tip 3 to make this Floral Fascination Cake or try piping a large cupcake swirl using the larger tip 2A.
Fill the bag about halfway with dough. Thats right dont move the cookies as you ice them youre more likely to goof them up and then all your hard work will frustrate you to continue. Touch your piping tip down onto the cookie.
