How To Use Icing Bag Tips

How to use icing bag tips. Simply drop your tip into the decorating bag and use scissors or a pen to mark a line about 12 way up the tip. Be sure to use the icing in correct consistency. You want it full so fill it to the top of the cup but still giving your bag room to twist it closed at the top.
There can be many attractive designs that you can make with piping bag with a round shaped tip. Remember to keep clusters close together so the cake doesnt show through. Use your hands to work the icing down towards the bottom where the tip is.
If you have a good quality piping bag which you want to re-use. You can use most standard-sized decorating tips with a coupler. Show-stopping bakery-worthy cakes coming right up.
Make a small triangleA by folding at one tip of the zip lock bag and in that small triangleA that you have folded cut out another smaller triangle. Cut the bag at the line then push the tip down through the opening. Spoon in the icing.
Unfold the cuff push the icing all the way down and twist the bag where the icing ends. When the bag is about two-thirds full uncuff push the icing down and twist. Then you can leave it upright as you scoop wahtever you need to scoop into it.
If you dont have nozzles you may need to fill 2-3 piping bags with the frosting and give a different shape to the tip of each bag. Basically you simply put royal icing into neat little plastic wrap pods before putting the pod or bullet into the icing bag. For a more natural look pull the tip slightly to the left or right instead of straight up.
