How to use bleach to wash clothes. Add clothes to wash water after the wash cycle begins. Oxygen bleaches are most effective in warm-to-hot water. Leave your clothing submerged in the bleach solution for at least five minutes.
If you use an all-fabric or oxygen bleach you can add it at the start of the cycle as instructed by the manufacturer. Always dilute it with water following the instructions on the products label. You can mix oxygen bleach in water or sprinkle the product directly on the stain and dip the fabric in hot water.
Mix 2 cups of color-safe bleach into the salt water mixture. For best results add 5 minutes after the wash cycle has begun to agitate in order to avoid destroying enzymes and fluorescent whiteners in the detergent. Try not to overthink it and it will come out great.
Never pour bleach directly on to clothes. Do so five minutes into the cycle and add it to the detergent drawer. Respecting the care labels wash the garment as normal and then check the results.
