How To Clean Earphones At Home

How to clean earphones at home. If there is dust or wax caught in the mesh grab a clean soft-bristled toothbrush and gently brush the mesh. Dampen a cotton ball or Q-tip with rubbing alcohol and clean any nooks and crannies. If your headphones have them you can remove silicone covers and soak them in warm water to clean them.
In many models the ear cups or pads can be removed and then cleaned wet. Dampen a paper towel or clean cloth with rubbing alcohol. First remove the earpads from your headphones by gently separating them.
Make sure not to get any liquid in the openings. Tilt your head to the side. In-ear headphones come in direct contact with the ear ear-head headphones not or hardly at all.
Gently clean the headphones with a small amount of cleaning solution too. Wipe clean with water. Add the tips and allow them to soak for at least 30 minutes.
For IEMs remember to remove the ear tips before cleaning the driver unit. Do this only sparingly as excessive use can cause inflammation. Separate the Earpads and Remove Dirt and dust.
Dont run EarPods under water. Do this on both the ear cups in areas like fabric folds and the main headphone unit. All of these ear-drops procedures are generally the same.
